Connecting internal and external signals
A market development becomes more meaningful when you set it against customer questions, internal information and your own results. A new offer from a competitor says little on its own. If the same question also comes up in customer conversations or in your sales figures, it becomes a signal to follow up. Which sources we use, what is available and how often we analyse are agreed for each collaboration.
Updates that help you act
A useful update describes what has changed, with source and date. It also sets out why it is relevant, what is certain or still uncertain, the recommended next step and who picks it up.
Urgent developments are shared in between, as agreed. Other findings are bundled into a regular overview or discussed in a regular meeting. A signal can also lead to further research, or to keeping an eye on it for now.
Agents carry out work. People set the direction.
Agents analyse information and also carry out part of the work. Think of follow-up research, preparing drafts and agreed recurring tasks. Within the agreed boundaries, they pick up those tasks independently.
People make the decisions on direction and priorities, review the quality of the work and consult with you. Which tasks agents carry out, how much room they have to decide and when a person reviews are agreed in advance.
Intelligence supports Strategy, Marketing and Technology as a way of working within the collaboration. It is not a mandatory standalone software subscription.
